Profile

Dr. Panahon joined the School Psychology Doctoral Program in 2009. He was an assistant professor of special education at Gwynedd-Mercy College for 5 years after receiving his Ph.D. in school psychology from Syracuse University. Dr. Panahon is the program director and currently teaches Consultation and Prevention and Supporting Diverse Students and Families. He served on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Behavioral Education and the Executive Board of the Minnesota School Psychology Association. He has published research in several major journals including Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of Behavioral Education, and Education and Treatment of Children. Dr. Panahon’s research team focuses on school consultation, developing academic and behavioral interventions for children with emotional/behavioral disorders, and the effects of noncontingent reinforcement on academic performance.
