Greetings and welcome to the first edition of Government in the Real World! This newsletter will be published three times per year and will focus on current teachings and best practices in the Criminal Justice, International Relations, Law Enforcement, Political Science and Urban & Regional Studies fields. This edition introduces our new podcast series “Let’s Talk Government” and presents an international perspective on voting and voter participation. Research into best practices for disaster management and a spotlight on Dr. Fred Slocum’s activities in teaching and travel round out the news.
