Political Science focuses on the study of political ideas, institutions and behavior. The discipline is divided into subfields of American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, public policy, and public administration. Our students can choose three areas of concentration that include courses from all of these subfields. We also offer courses for the pre-law cohort and for interdisciplinary majors and minors such as Environmental Science, Ethnic Studies, International Relations, Latin American Studies, Middle Eastern Studies and Islamic World, Scandinavian Studies, and Social Studies, as well as the joint major program Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).
