Strong education and professional skills in Local Government Management, Urban Planning, Program Evaluation, Organizational Development, Disaster Management and Conflict Resolution.

Lived abroad and taught in the western African country of Ghana. An accomplished scholar with a number of publications and world-wide presentations. One of 59 influential women world-wide profiled in the the book "Democracy at the Doorstep, Too" published by the International City/County Managers Association.
