Jo Ellen Krengel, LICSW, has been an adjunct faculty member at MNSU-Mankato since 2004. She has taught most of our introductory social work courses. JoEllen currently is a Family Therapist with Greater Minnesota Family Services. Her work provides her the opportunity to provide therapy services to families in their homes. Jo Ellen is a firm believer in building relationships with her clients and doing so in their environment. She has been providing in-home services for 12 years and travels 3000 miles a month as a rural service provider.
Prior to moving to Minnesota, Jo Ellen worked as a child protection social worker in Arizona and she also spent 5 years working with Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong and as they became repatriated back to Vietnam. Jo Ellen received her Master in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan in 1993. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Northern Arizona University in 1986.
