The MSW Program has been designed to try to meet the needs of students who may be working during the week and also may have other obligations that make it appealing to have a weekend program. Some MSW courses are offered as "hybrid" or "web-enhanced" courses, which means these selected courses may have fewer face-to-face contact hours, and more expectation of online/Internet-based work.
Required classes in the Master of Social Work Program are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays. Classes may begin as early as 12:00noon and end as late as 9:00pm on Fridays, and may begin as early as 8:00am and end as late as 6:00pm on Saturdays. Though it is rare, students may need to be on campus for that entire time-frame depending on the course offerings in a given semester. Courses are currently offered only one time per year. See the curriculum page for information about which courses are offered in which semester and how they are sequenced.
