Jennifer comes to us by way of Colorado, but it turns out her brother-in-law works at MSU Mankato in facilities management! She received her Masters of Social Work in 1999 from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO and a Bachelors of Arts majoring in Sociology with a Criminal Justice emphasis from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. Her most recent position was as the Assistant Director of Field Education & CLOE Distance MSW Site Coordinator at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO. She has extensive experience in SW Field Education as a Program and Field Coordinator, and Field Instructor with Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO; Field Instructor – Newman University and University of Phoenix, Colorado Springs, CO; and University of Southern Colorado, Pueblo, CO. Jennifer has been employed in many setting with in the area of community mental health, including Adoptions, Foster Care, Domestic Violence, and Residential Care. She had her own private practice from 2005-2011 providing mental health services to children and families in foster care and adoptions. Additionally, while at CSU she taught practice courses at the MSW level. Her areas of SW interest are field education, child and family mental health, trauma, play therapy, adoption, foster care, and domestic violence.
