Please don't hesitate to contact us with any news about your career, questions about graduate school, willingness to be a supervisor, or anything else. It is always a joy to run into former students at conferences (MSSA, NASW, the State Supervisors Conference, etc.) and hear about your amazing accomplishments! Please also make sure that the Alumni Relations office has your latest address information so that they can make sure you get the various University magazines and other mailings.
Honors Day Celebration!! Each year the Department honors the authors of the three best SOWK-190 papers from the previous year as "Social Welfare Scholars". Following that, the Department recognizes one of its graduates as the Alumnus of the Year. This year's winner is a school social worker in Redwing Minnesota who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to students both in school programs and in innovative programs outside of the school.
