Applicants must submit the following information to the College of Graduate Studies: a completed Application for Graduate Studies, verification of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, all college transcripts in duplicate, and information required of international students if appropriate. The GRE is not required. Upon receipt of the above information, the applicant's file will be forwarded to the Department of Sociology and Corrections for an admission recommendation.
The applicant must also arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent directly to the Department of Sociology and Corrections. Applicants are required to send a curriculum vitae or resume and a statement explaining why they want to earn this Master's degree directly to the department. Lastly, the department requires a writing sample. The Department recommends that applicants who do not meet all of the admission criteria include a letter addressing the deficiencies. Admissions are made each semester.
