Dr. Houlihan is the director of the school psychology program. He taught in the clinical psychology master’s program at MSU for 22 years prior to his shift to school psychology. He currently teaches Child Psychopathology and Therapy, Behavioral Research Methods, Psychological Interventions in the Schools, and Psychoneurology of Child Behavior. Dr. Houlihan has a prolific publication record in a wide range of clinically-related topics and has served on the editorial boards of seven peer-reviewed journals, including currently Education and Treatment of Children (where he also served as associate editor for two terms) and Behavior Therapy (where he is scheduled to serve as a Guest Editor for an upcoming Special Issue). His research team focuses on behavior disorders, Autism, compliance and command types.
