Dr. Joseph Kunkel has taught in MSU,M’s political science department since 1979. He teaches courses in political philosophy, governmental institutions and political participation. He has a keen interest in political history and the ideas and practices that influenced the founding of the American republic. He has traveled extensively in the U.S. He has traveled to Italy and other European countries frequently both with groups and on his own. Dr. Suzanne Bunkers, professor of English and a MSU Distinguished Faculty Scholar, has taught literature, writing, and interdisciplinary courses at MSU since 1980. The former director of the MSU Honors Program, she has published eight scholarly and creative books, along with numerous scholarly articles and popular essays. She has served as a Fulbright Research Scholar in Belgium and Luxembourg, and she travels abroad frequently, including seven study-tours to Italy.
