The Florence and Ray Sponberg Endowment Fund is accepting applications for its annual scholarship for students in the Political Science or History Department. Florence Sponberg is an emeriti faculty member of the Department of English at Minnesota State University.
One scholarship of $600.00 can be awarded to a female undergraduate or graduate student (who qualifies) with Political Science, History, International Relations, or Social Studies (Political Science) majors, who can demonstrate that they are contributing actively to the promotion of peace in the world or by submitting evidence of active participation in the Kessel Institute or another peace-promoting organization. Applicants should plan to enroll as full-time students at MSU in the Fall Semester of 2008.
Applicants must submit a current transcript and a completed application. The winner will be announced as soon after March 28th as possible. The award will be in the form of a $600.00 tuition payment for 2008-2009.
