| On Saturday, November
8, 2003, MSU Political Science graduate student Jennie Scott and I
attended the Minnesota Political Science Association's annual meeting at
Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. Professors Avra Johnson and
Carolyn Shrewsbury, and Professor Emeritus Scott Shrewsbury, also
attended, as did several MSU graduate students in public administration.
MSU's own Dr. Carolyn Shrewsbury, making her presentation "Minnesota: A Decade of Demographic Change."
Dr. Timothy Johnson (Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Minnesota) discusses his work on the Oyez Supreme Court Oral Arguments project immediately after a delicious pasta lunch.
Former U.S. Rep. Tim Penny, the Independence Party candidate in the 2002 Minnesota governor's race and now a senior fellow at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute, discusses prospects for the Independence Party in 2004.
