The Kessel Peace Institute sponsored a lecture by Michael Greger, M.D. entitled "Surviving the Next Pandemic: Bird flu and other emerging infectious diseases." The event took place on November 7. Dr. Greger is an animal rights advocate and a scientific investigator of the relationship between agricultural practices and the emergence of epidemic infectious diseases.
