Need-Based Financial Aid Programs
Programs such as Federal Work-Study and other need based programs are avalibale to students who demonstrate financial need and otherwise meet program and application requirements. To apply, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the academic year in which financial assistance is needed. For additional information, please visit the university's Student Financial Services page. There is additional information targeted to graduate student financial aid needs here.
Full graduate assistantships at MSU pay a stipend of $9,000-$10,000 for the academic year. A full assistantship also carries a waiver of up to nine graduate credits per semester. All students admitted to the I-O Psychology Masters Program are automatically considered for Graduate Assistantships available through the Psychology Department. Unfortunately, these opportunities are limited. Applicants are strongly advised to apply for other assistantships which are available through various campus departments. Graduate assistantship vacancies are posted when they become available. Interested students should monitor the vacancy list regularly.
