The purpose of the History Club is to:

  1. Promote the study of history by encouraging research, good teaching, publication of materials, and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians.
  2. Provide ideas outside of the classroom for students interested in historical study and debate.
  3. Expand opportunities for students.

The Minnesota State University, Mankato History Club offers opportunities to network with other students in your field of interest, participate in historical field trips, build your resume, and many other opportunities.

All students are welcome to join the club. Fall 2009 meetings are held on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m. 2009-2010 activities include....

12 November: History Forum -- "Culture, Sexuality, and Medical Intervention: A History of Venereal Disease Eradication Campaign in Colonial Kenya, 1920-1960," by Dr. Agnes Odinga.
4 December: End of Semester Social -- Bowling at CSU, 5:00 p.m.
