The History Department is currently composed of ten faculty members. Their fields of expertise include: U.S.: Colonial and Revolutionary periods, Nineteenth Century U.S., Recent U.S. History, Modern Britain, Medieval and Early Modern Europe, Africa, East Asia and Latin America. The department offers B.A. and B.S. degrees plus M.A. and M.S. graduate degrees. Approximately 220 undergraduates are enrolled as majors, about 115 of which are enrolled in the secondary education program, "Social Studies History Core." Approximately 40 graduate students are enrolled in the History Department's graduate program.
