
Dr. Joseph Kunkel has taught in MSU,M’s political science department since 1979. He teaches courses in political philosophy, governmental institutions and political participation. He has a keen interest in political history and the ideas. Relevant to the Germany Study Tour, he has taught courses political ideologies, including Nazism, Socialism and Communism.. He has traveled extensively in the U.S. He has traveled to Italy and other European countries frequently both with groups and on his own. Dr. Alisa Eimen has taught at MSU Mankato since 2005. She teaches courses in ancient, Asian, and Islamic art history, as well as a course in museum studies. She is particularly interested in themes of identity formation and related roles of memory and tradition in the production of art and its history. She has travelled extensively in Europe, North America, as well as Iran, Turkey, and India, though she maintains a particular fondness for Germany and the German language.
