Travel Arrangements*

Thurs., March 7      TWIN CITIES - MUNICH
  Meet at Minneapolis St. Paul in the afternoon for an overnight flight to Munich with a change of planes en route.

BERLIN Arrival. Friday, March 8     MUNICH
Arrive at Munich Airport and transfer, with local assistant, to the HOTEL DREI LOEWEN with an introductory tour of the city en route. Afternoon free for independent exploration or for professor-arranged activity. Three-day transportation pass provided. (B)

Sat., March 9     MUNICH
Morning (09.00) guided walking tour of the city including the Marienplatz and the Residenz, entrance included. Free afternoon for independent exploration.  (B)(B)

Sunday, March 10    MUNICH
Day free for independent exploration.  Consider visiting the Glyptothek, one of the Pinakothek galleries or the Haus der Kunst and the English Gardens (B)

Tues., March 12     BERLIN - NUREMBERG
Morning departure by private motorcoach for a guided tour and English film at the Dachau concentration camp, which was opened in 1933 and the first of the Nazi concentration camps. Continue to NUREMBERG for check-in at the PARK INN NUREMBERG. Walk, with local guide tour of Altstadt (Old city) and Kaiserburg.  (B)

Wed. March 13    NUREMBERG

Morning (10.00) guided tour of the Documentation Center and the Rally Grounds. Afternoon free for independent exploration. (B)

Thurs, March 14    NUREMBERG - BERLIN
  Morning (11.00) departure by private motorcoach for a guided tour and English film (film at 11.30, 14.00 & 15.30) at the Dachau concentration camp, which was opened in 1933 and the first of the Nazi concentration camps. Continue to Munich for check-in at the .HOTEL KU’DAMM 101 Three-Day transportation pass provided. (B)

Visits to Stasi Museum (no guide) and Gedenkstätte Berlin-Hohenschönhausen prison (site guide)Day free for independent exploration. (B)

      Participants are advised to carry overnight bags as a safeguard against any flight or baggage claim delays.

·       Participants are responsible for carrying their own baggage to and from the airport, motorcoach, train and hotel.

·       Please present the appropriate mileage program identification upon check-in.

·       Retain all boarding passes and air ticket receipts until the mileage credit appears on your statement.
