2005 Initiation Banquet

On Friday evening, April 15, 2005, Upsilon Alpha chapter at MSU sponsored a Pi Sigma Alpha initiation banquet in the Centennial Student Union.  Our keynote speaker was Dr. Tom Emmert, a professor of history at Gustavus Adolphus College.  His address examined the history of conflict between Islam and Christianity in the Balkans and the Middle East.

Dr. Tom Emmert of Gustavus Adolphus College, a specialist in Near Eastern, Balkan and Ottoman history, addressed the connections between historic conflicts in these areas and contemporary conflicts, especially religious conflict, in the Middle East.
