Pi Sigma Alpha 2003 Initiation Banquet

On Friday evening, April 11, 2003, Upsilon Alpha chapter at MSU and Pi Gamma chapter at Gustavus Adolphus College co-sponsored a Pi Sigma Alpha initiation banquet in MSU's Centennial Student Union.  Our keynote speaker was Sam Hanson, an Associate Justice on the Minnesota Supreme Court.  His address compared the American and Chinese legal systems, and argued that China's continued political and economic development will hinge in part on the country's success in developing an independent judiciary, a vigorous legal profession and a legal system based on the rule of law.  Approximately 20 students from MSU and Gustavus were initiated into Pi Sigma Alpha, and overall, nearly 100 people attended the banquet.
