Professor of NursingDr. Bliesmer is a Professor in the School of Nursing at MSU, Mankato. She first came to MSU in 1975 and was here until 1979. She then came back in 1982 and has been at MSU since then. She received her B.S. from Mankato State University. She then went on to receive her M.P.H. from the University of Minnesota and her DNSc from Rush University-Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Bliesmer's health care interests include complementary therapies, especially massage therapy. Her research interests include family adaptation and gerontological issues. Current projects are the Family Adaptation Research Group and MAGEC South.
