Leah Rogne, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Sociology at Minnesota State University, Mankato, received her doctorate at the University of Minnesota. She worked for 10 years in long-term care in Fargo, ND,where she was part of a clinical team that developed and implemented "best-of-practice" principles for long-term care services for Lutheran Health Systems, which operated 80 hospitals and nursing homes in the Central and Western United States. Her dissertation was a collection and analysis of life stories of World War II conscientious objectors and war resisters. Dr. Rogne came to MSU, Mankato in 2002 after having taught for Arrowhead Community Colleges, Bemidji State University and the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Dr. Rogne coordinates the Applied Sociology Program and the internship program for the Gerontology Program at MSU.
