Charge
The Department Chair Council is charged with facilitating communication between departments and the dean and with helping to lead the college to ensure its academic strength and integrity.
The Department Chair Council will:
- serve as the planning committee for the college;
- present views of the individual departments to each other and to the dean;
- discuss matters of departmental and college importance;
- help to establish and review policies and procedures in the college;
- review new programs and major programmatic changes in the college;
- discuss academic and institutional matters as they impact departments, the college, and the university as a whole.
