February: African American History Month

TET Vietnamese New Year

February 18, 5:00 p.m.
CSU Ballroom

Join the Vietnamese students and community in celebrating their culture through music, dance, a traditional meal and other cultural activities. A social dance follows the evening program.

Pan African Student Leadership Conference

February 22-25
Centennial Student Union

This conference is nationally recognized. The focus is on African and African-American concerns with emphasis on issues pertaining to the Miswest. This conference is offered in conjunction with Education: KSP 4/590 which may be taken for credit.

Mr. & Ms. Pan African Talent Ceremony

February 25, 7:00 p.m.
Midwest Wireless Civic Center

The talent ceremony gives students an opportunity to compete for prizes. The king and queen are selected for a one year reign as representatives of the Pan African Conference.

March: Women's History Month & Irish-American Heritage Month

Chicano-Mexicano-Latino Conference

March 9-10
Centennial Student Union

Building stronger permanent community bridges between the Hispanic community and the communities at large in South Central Minnesota. Workshops are training sessions for working with the Latino community. This conference is offred in conjunction with Education: KSP 4/590 which may be taken for credit.

Latino Night Celebration

Lao New Year

April 14, 5:00 p.m.
Student Union Ballroom

The Lao New Year celebration will provide a creative presentation to showcase Lao traditions, ceremonies, traditional foods, dances, crafts, music, and clothing. The presentation will address Lao issues in Southern Minnesota and the United States. A social dance will follow.
