Our undergraduate program courses provide a progressive understanding of a number of areas of Native American concern, including both traditional and contemporary issues. Upper division courses supply a variety of avenues for students to explore diverse areas for concentrated study culminating in a culturally based research course that prepares students for applying their understandings outside of the university setting.

Students obtain an understanding of the Indigenous American experience in the United States. Students begin to comprehend the vast history of native cultures and the scope of contemporary issues facing Indigenous Americans today. The certificate is designed to enhance any major.
