Alpha Phi Sigma

A nation-wide honor society for the field of criminal justice. The organization recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the criminal justice sciences, including corrections, law enforcement and the various legal professions. It is affiliated with the National Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and holds its annual meeting in conjunction with the ACJS. The primary purpose at MSU is to recognize and foster academic excellence. Members of APS are encouraged to provide leadership roles in the respective student organizations representing their specific disciplines and orientations. Golden Key International Honor Society

The mission of Golden Key International Honor Society, a nonprofit academic honors organization, is to recognize and encourage scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate fields of study, to unite and network with collegiate faculties and administrators in developing and maintaining high standards of education, to provide economic assistance to outstanding members by means of both undergraduate and graduate scholarships, and to promote altruistic conduct through voluntary service.

A National Social Work Honor Society that provides a closer bond among students of social work and promotes humanitarian goals and ideals. Chapter members at Minnesota State University maintain a strong GPA and participate in service activities during each semester membership.

A nation-wide honor society for the field of political science. The organization recognizes outstanding academic achievement in the political science department at MSU. Activities include social events, banquets, guest speakers, and an undergraduate tutoring program.
